Egoli Magic clinched BNL title. They thumped Tshwane Suns in the championship game tonight. Magic held Suns to an opponent 21.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 32.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Magic made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Nkosinathi Sibanyoni who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 20 rebounds and 7 blocks. Nigerian forward Tony Chukwurah (199-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. DR Congolese power forward Emmanuel Shine (199-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds and the former international Kagiso Ngoetjana (198-89) added 11 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Suns. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
